- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup eggnog
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the softened butter, eggnog, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it to cool completely on a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, use fresh nutmeg and cinnamon. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and fluffy.
